The pedagogical collective of Unitary Gardens was formed in the 2016-2017 school year, according to the organization of the School Zone. Our group in that year was integrated by 6 unitary and public kindergartens, which are public schools in which there is a teacher with direction in charge and attending the three grades of preschool education. Varying groups from 8 to 25 children and regularly settled in small communities, rancherias or growing colonies.

In the first meeting we talked about the problems that were most marked in the classroom, regardless of the context, the characteristics of the children, the material available, etc. There was a point of agreement which was the way in which to maintain a group «control» to be multigrade

From this question, the collective took on the task of seeking information about work in multigrade groups. The search was taking us through various methodologies and one that is totally multigrade is Montessori Pedagogy. This is how the Collective began with a search and learning that, so far, after several school cycles, continues to give us great satisfaction.

In our journey over the years, we have acquired ideas, activities and knowledge about implementing a different education. Although our first problem was the management of a multigrade group, our work has deepened more. Not only do we want to make a school in which children despite the age difference achieve full development, but now we have defined a school that we want to achieve. We want to make a school with love, focused on human development, in which children enjoy learning, grow with love and understanding towards others and towards the world around us.
